Problem & Solution

In today's climate, every investigator is an analyst. It is critical for fiscally minded and manpower-challenged agency executives to understand the importance of force-multiplying technology and how to leverage it. Look no further...

Data Types

Going far beyond just Call Detail Records (CDRs). NightHawk leverages the power and potential of offenders' current trends in digital data communication, fused with data from other L.E. programs being brought to bear by today's investigators. NightHawk employs an agile development process, which automates for novel data sets regularly, because how offenders communicate today will be different tomorrow.

Sources

Fuse disparate digital data sets and visualize them together, overlaid and interlaced chronologically, on an easily understood and intuitive display. Load multiple data sets for an individual subject, creating a complete picture of activity, interactions, and communications. Create multiple subjects for a single case and observe how subjects interact and how their data correlates during the dates and times of interest.

Design

A thin client Software as a Service (SaaS), hosted in Amazon GovCloud, which means it doesn't need to touch your existing systems. Users need only a computer, either Chrome or Edge browsers, and internet accessibility. NightHawk is about being fast, agile, reliable, and lean. CJIS compliant, keeping your data safe through encryption while in transit and at rest.

Core Capabilities

  • Time & Location: Data is integrated and visualized in one analysis window. Scroll through events on the timeline and dynamic map, zooming in and out on time and geographic areas of interest. Displays are linked and update automatically with your selections and analytic functions.
  • Drag & Drop: Simply drag and drop your data directly into your subject of interest. NightHawk automatically identifies and imports the relevant files and information, eliminating the need for manual extraction and parsing.
  • Subject Interaction Filtering Tool (S.I.F.T): Scroll through and observe conversations, calls, messages, and events in time order to identify key moments. View complete conversations across media types and watch as targets switch between communication methods. See how GPS trackers, gunfire acoustic identifiers, LPR hits, and other data relate in time.
  • Intersect: Analyze features across various data sets (social media, CDRs, GPS, etc.) for any time frame or location and in relation to other events. Identify indirect commonalities between subjects and find shared addresses, contacts, messages, and more.
  • Link Chart: As you analyze and build your case, watch your link chart automatically develop. Upload mugshots and case photos for better visualization of people, places, and things. Link charts are crucial for managing and navigating large-scale investigations.
  • Export: Create case artifacts directly from the Map, Interaction Diagram, S.I.F.T., Intersect Tool, List, and Link Chart. Save them within your case or download them for reports and affidavits. Build your case presentation efficiently with NightHawk.
  • Collaborate: Control access for users within and outside your agency, providing view-only or view-and-modify privileges as needed. Collaborate across city lines for crimes like robberies, narcotics, and burglaries. Criminals don't respect boundaries, and neither should your software.
  • Real Time: NightHawk enables real-time collaboration, showing who is in your case and what they're doing. Investigators can upload, analyze, and add information simultaneously, with instant updates for everyone, whether they're next door or across the country. Timely intel is actionable intel.
"Using NightHawk for analysis, I was able to get surveillance headed to the associate's address in under 10 minutes of receiving the phone records. It's a true game changer."
Fugitive Apprehension Officer, Colorado Federal Task Force
"Every case has digital data evidence, and how law enforcement and investigations are changing, being able to work - to analyze and get actionable leads from digital data is huge. I don’t know how we ever survived without NightHawk. Every case I work I look to NightHawk because it gets me wins."
Homicide Detective, Major Metropolitan Police Department, Oregon
"The ease of loading the data and then being able to visualize it fused together made a tremendous difference in helping to identify (and just as importantly rule out) several body search sites, saving an untold number of personnel hours and tens of thousands of dollars (or more) in associated expense that would have been spent without the use of NightHawk."
District Attorney Investigator, Major State Judicial District, Colorado
"When I first saw NightHawk I was blown away, I mean it. I told them “Shut up, who do I pay to get this thing?”, because it was obvious how I could use it to solve cases. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and once I did, everyone was asking what’s that “thing” and how do I get an account. It was the haves and the have nots!"
Homicide Detective, Major Metropolitan Police Department, Maryland
"I’ve abandoned every other analytic product because nobody is doing what NightHawk is doing. We can work, manage, and investigate multiple COCCA (state-level RICO) cases with ease. Before, working more than one COCCA simultaneously was almost impossible, and sharing case information was brutal because of the amount of data and lack of collaboration of other platforms. That isn’t a problem anymore!"
Task Force Officer, Violent Crime Task Force, Colorado
"The ease of loading the data and then being able to visualize it fused together made a tremendous difference in helping to identify (and just as importantly rule out) several body search sites, saving an untold number of personnel hours and tens of thousands of dollars (or more) in associated expense that would have been spent without the use of NightHawk."
Prosecutor, Major State Judicial District, Colorado
"Where have you been all my life, seriously?! NightHawk changed everything for me. I’ve been beating my head against a wall, going cross-eyed, losing my mind. Everyone’s been looking for a way to do something with digital data, guys and gals write for records and then put the data into evidence because they couldn’t do anything useful with it. I wish I had this 5 or 10 years ago."
Robbery Detective, Major Metropolitan Police Department, Arizona
