Detective Brook Nichols of Mountain Brook Alabama PD received an email letting them know that a stolen computer had been pawned. The night before, a night shift patrol officer ran and saved the computer’s serial number in LeadsOnline. Within two hours, the computer was recovered, and Nichols had obtained a suspect ID. The suspect was arrested within hours of receiving the initial notification.
