An investigator from KY was assigned a Double Murder case multiple years after the incident occurred. After some time getting caught up on the previous investigator’s efforts, a coworker suggested that he use LeadsOnline to look up the possible suspects. In doing so, he uncovered that one of the suspects had sold a victim’s necklace – one that they never took off. The necklace was sold to a pawn shop just days after the murder, and there was no reason why this suspect would rightfully be in possession of it. Since it had now been years since the murders had taken place, the shop no longer had the jewelry. However, per county ordinances, they did still have several pictures that made it clear this was in fact the victim’s jewelry. This essential piece of evidence contributed to a conviction of two counts of Murder and the suspect will now spend life in prison.
