Detective Benjamin Hoke from Virginia Beach Police Department was assigned a case from a local funeral home where brass vases that had been purchased for grave sites were being stolen. Hoke used LeadsOnline to search for large quantities of brass sold to scrap yards and cross referenced this information with employee logs from the funeral home. In doing this, he was able to establish a suspect who was related to over 70 thefts and multiple felony charges will be issued, giving closure to the victims of these thefts – the family members of the deceased.
